There is a story behind this as during our first trip to Japan in 2004, we got hit by a typhoon the first time we tried to visit the park. Our train got stuck and in order for us to get back to Nagoya and make it to Nagashima the next day, we had to take a $300 taxi ride back since the trains were out of service. We had just a few hours on another day to try to make it back, but if you look on a map, Parque Espana is VERY out in the middle of nowhere. So between the additional taxi ride, train tickets to get to the park, hotel stay, park tickets, etc, this became a $700 credit for us! Probably our most expensive ever!
